Connecting a Q-SYS System to Q-SYS Reflect Enterprise Manager 2m 46s
00:08
Today we’re going to show you just how easy it is to connect an entire Q-SYS system
00:12
to the new Q-SYS Reflect Enterprise Manager.
00:15
In fact, one of the coolest parts about our remote monitoring and management platform
00:20
is the architecture itself:
00:22
rather than needing to register every piece of hardware on the system with the cloud,
00:26
you only need to connect Q-SYS Core processors,
00:30
and all of the data from their native Q-SYS and third party peripherals comes with it automatically!
00:35
And best of all, you can register that Core with the Reflect cloud in just a few easy clicks.
00:40
You just need three things to get started.
00:42
First, you need an active Enterprise Manager account – so if you don’t yet have that set up yet,
00:48
go to qsc.com/reflect to get it set up.
00:52
You can do that now if you want!
00:57
Oh! That was fast!
00:58
Alright, so the next thing you need to do is make sure that all of your Core's have been updated
01:03
with the right firmware.
01:04
Your Cores need to be running Q-SYS Firmware v8.2 or higher.
01:09
So, if you haven’t done that yet … we can wait.
01:14
Oh!
01:16
You're done already!
01:17
Alright, last step:
01:18
you need to make sure that your Core processor has an active internet connection.
01:22
It should connect like any other IP-enabled device, but if you’re having trouble,
01:28
contact your IT department
01:29
and check out our video on “Online Connectivity & Security Consideration” for more help.
01:35
Now, let’s connect to our Core using the Core Manager –
01:39
this can be done directly on your browser, using the IP Address of the Core.
01:44
Over here in the left side pane, you’ll see the Reflect Registration option.
01:49
Select this menu and then press the Start Registration button.
01:55
If your Core is, in fact, connected to the internet,
01:57
it should open a new dialog box which contains a unique Core registration code.
02:03
Copy that registration Code, as you’ll need it in the next step.
02:06
Next, open a separate browser tab,
02:09
and log in to your Enterprise Manager Account at reflect.qsc.com.
02:15
Once you’re there, navigate to the appropriate Organization and Site,
02:21
and then simply click “Add Core” and paste your Core registration code into the field.
02:26
Click “OK”, and that’s it, you’re done!
02:29
You’ve successfully connected your entire system—
02:32
INCLUDING your Core processor and all of its peripherals—
02:35
to Enterprise Manager,
02:36
Easier than taking candy from a baby!
02:39
Quiet you!
