Hi, I'm Britt Wilson and welcome to the Q-SYS Level Two Cinema Bridge course.

This course originally launched back in 2022, and a lot has changed in the Q-SYS world since then.

We've seen new products at the scene, some older ones retire, and a few of the methods we use in these videos have evolved over time.

With that said, the core goal of this course is still the same:

to give you practical guidance and share best practices for using Q-SYS in cinema applications.

And the foundational concepts that you'll learn here, they're still just as relevant today.

Now, you might notice that some parts of the system that we build in this course, and maybe one or two of the exam requirements involve products or plugins that aren't part of the latest Q-SYS lineup.

Think of this as an opportunity to get creative.

For example, we're using the IO frame for its support of data port cards with DCA amps.

Well, that product has since been retired, but you could easily swap in something like the Core 510i as a peripheral because these can also handle data port cards.

Or maybe you've even got a better idea in mind.

And if you see something in one of these videos that looks a little different than the software in front of you, don't worry.
