00:08
Welcome back! Let's pick up again where we left off.
00:11
We’ll start with our Compact and Economical range.
00:15
Three models of screen channels are featured here.
00:17
The SC 1120 and SC 1150 have a depth of just under 12 inches, perfect for small rooms where space behind the screen is limited.
00:27
The slightly larger SC 2150 is recommended for rooms up to about 60 feet or 18 meters in length.
00:34
Now for the subwoofers in this category.
00:37
For rooms using the shallow-depth SC 1120 or SC 1150, we offer the SB 1180 1x18” subwoofer which itself has a depth of just under 12 inches.
00:49
Larger rooms using SC 2150 screen channels can be paired with the SB 2180 2x18” subwoofer. These both come in under 17 inches deep.
01:01
For Compact & economical surrounds, the 8” 2-way SR 800 is our most compact and lowest cost model.
01:09
For an upgrade, the 10” 2-way SR 1000 offers higher output with a larger woofer and High Frequency horn.
01:17
Moving to our “Best Value” range:
01:19
The QSC range of “Best Value” loudspeakers feature conventional single-diaphragm HF compression drivers with our special deep dome design
01:28
which delivers outstanding performance for this price class.
01:32
All of these screen channel models are 3-way designs
01:35
and use the same mid-high system paired with different woofer cabinets - with the exception of the SC 223 which uses a different mid-high section.
01:44
The SC 413C is aimed at small screening rooms and post-production facilities where the reduced height of the system adds the benefit of better sound imaging
01:54
if you’re sitting close to the loudspeaker.
01:56
If the room is larger and budget is an issue, moving up to the dual-woofer SC 223 may be a better choice.
02:03
And we have several options to handle rooms up to and beyond 95 feet.
02:09
In our Best Value category, QSC has a variety of subwoofer options.
02:14
For small rooms where space is a constraint, the SB 7118 1x18 subwoofer is a great choice.
02:22
For the next size up, we suggest using a single SB 7218 with 2x18 inch woofers rather than multiple SB 7118’s.
02:32
A single dual woofer cabinet in rooms up to about 60 feet or 18 meters will create the best price-versus-performance balance.
02:41
The SB 7218 is considered the best price/performance value for QSC cinema subwoofers.
02:49
You can use one for small rooms, two for medium, four for large, and even eight for premium large format rooms.
02:56
You won’t regret investing in more subs. And trying to over-power too few subs is never a good idea.
03:03
There are also several surround loudspeaker options in our “Best Value” category.
03:09
The SR 8200 for smaller 7.1 rooms, the SR 1020 for medium rooms, and the SR 1030 for large rooms are great options.
03:19
They are aesthetically matched and all models feature high performance HF horns, compression drivers, and woofers.
03:26
And by the way, these loudspeakers are the same ones we’ll use in Premium Performance installations
03:32
that we’ll talk about next, so it’s really hard to go wrong with these choices.
03:37
For even more surround options in small rooms, consider our Acoustic Design surface mount loudspeakers.
03:44
They provide a distinctive look and styling that might be a perfect match for your small room applications.
03:49
Surround loudspeakers in immersive sound applications need to be capable of higher output and ultra safe and secure installation.
03:58
QSC offers three impressive options for these applications.
04:01
The 12” SR 1290, the 15” SR 1590 and the very large, high output SR 5152.
04:11
It’s an outstanding performer, but consider size, weight and cost compared to the SR 1590 before you make this selection.
04:19
All but the largest rooms can use the SR 1290, a compact, 12” coax design that is cost-effective and easy to install due to its size and weight.
